Mill superintendent M.G. Frye made a home movie, shot in 8mm, of various people and places at the mill and mill village. The film is from 1939. His grandson, Robert G. Frye, donated the movie to the State Archives of North Carolina in 2007 where it is accessible on their YouTube channel. As historians, media such as this add insight into the everyday lives of the people we study.
